153 How About This Weather?

As we are in the dregs of winter and a frigid deep freeze, I was most excited to see the sun yesterday for the first time in a long time. I ran and got my camera and this is what I saw through our window.

  1. What a beautiful shot of your icicles! They aren't really that easy to capture.

  2. Gorgeous shot, Mary Lou - the trees in the background add interest to the icicles, very nice picture!

  3. Just a warning, don't clean the window with warm water, just yet.

I am happy to say that in nearly 60 years I have NEVER seen icicles like that with my own eyes and I don't want to Yikes

  4. Nice ice! (Except you are probably VERY tired of growing them?)

  5. Nice shot. And I second the comment about the skeletal trees adding interest.

  6. That is a lovely shot, ice seems tricky to shoot to me, easy to blow it out. Thirding the comment on the trees too,

  7. This is a great shot! Good detail of the icicles (which can easily wash out) and I like the contrast of the trees in the background.

  9. Great shot. It got an extra interesting texture with the trees in the background. Love the light.
