In the month that I have been doing this challenge my eye has been trained differently. I now look at things and see if they fit the picture in my mind and then visually frame them to see if I like the image. This photograph is nothing special. As a matter of fact it is kind of bland. However, as I was driving past this dumpster on this very dreary day it was the only thing that stood out and was the perfect color for today's theme!!

definitely the most colourful dumpster I've yet to see! nice how our eyes are being trained to see what's always been there!
ReplyDeleteCan't miss that in the bright white snow!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a cold place for a communal bath but hey! you people do strange things up north.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful dumpster!
ReplyDeleteLove your comment about your "eye" changing. I'm finding that, as well. This challenge must be working!
That's the wonderful thing about this sort of challenge. A year ago, you wouldn't have noticed the dumpster; but now, you've found something eye-catching and attractive about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much I'm seeing that I used to just pass by unawares. I'm also realizing that every day can't be a great picture day - there will be mediocre and downright awful photos on some days, too. And that's normal! Your photo, however, isn't in those categories - nice color and contrast.
ReplyDeleteGreat one for the theme. I look at everything now as having photographic potential actually no matter what it is. Macro or Mini, just anything any size shape or form.
ReplyDeleteI agree about having your eye re-trained! You were spot on with this one, the starkness surrounding the dumpster, I think makes it more visible. *If that makes any sense*
ReplyDeleteGreat take on this one. I've been looking around for something of that color.
