221 Outdoor Seating

We are back in Chicago's Millennium Park. I originally chose this photo for another theme and then realized that it could fit any number of themes. I decided to go with this one because this is such a beautiful venue.

A Little History
This is the The Jay Pritzker Pavilion which was completed in July 2004. It is the home for Chicago's Grant Park Symphony, which has been playing free summer concerts in downtown Chicago for almost 70 years. The bandshell seats 4,000 and there is room on the lawn for another 7,000 people. The name of the bandshell refers to Chicago's Pritzker family.

  1. There is a lot of movement in this image. I can see your quandry on what best describes it. Let's see: curves, communication, larger than life, architectural, hmmmmm....

  2. Looks like the waiting area at our local bank, they need that many chairs as the service is really bad. The sweep of those rows is dramatic, isn't it?
