43 Celestial Bodies

I wasn't going to post this photograph but I was so excited after many attempts to capture the moon that I actually got a shot where you can see the craters. This was taken 2 days ago in the middle of the afternoon. My camera was handheld using my Nikkor 70-300 VR lens. I cropped it and bumped up the blue slightly.

  1. I'm very jealous we haven't had a clear day to see the moon and I know it has been stunning, great shot

  2. Mary Lou, you captured the moon beautifully. I tried several times last night to get a picture but our skies were far too hazy.

  3. That's a pretty shot. I've tried the past two nights to get a decent shot and it hasn't worked out for me. It's been a while since I've spotted the moon during the afternoon.

  10. Great shot, Mary Lou! We were so lucky to have the moon rise before dark for a few days. It looks stunning against the blue sky.
