Sigmund Freud is one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. His most important book is The Interpretation of Dreams. He discovered that emotions buried in the unconscious surface during dreaming. When people are dreaming they are completely honest with themselves. That's why dreams are so hard to remember or why we don't remember much at all.
