Although I did not get a picture of my flat tire I did get a picture of the gash on the inside of the tire that the pot hole made. Yep...that's it...the dark squiggly line in the center of the photo!!
EDIT to my original post: The road I was on is under the juridiction of the state so I will be filing a claim with the state to see if they will reimburse for the expenses incurred.
I went to the dealership where we purchased the car and showed them the rust and they claim it is perfectly normal for cars in this climate to have rust like that even if my car is only 3 months old. I will now be writing a letter to the car manufacturer and stating my displeasure with the situation!!

Oops indeed. What a gash! And to find out that your still-new car is rusting! Good for you for planning to file with the state, and indicating your displeasure to the car manufacturer!
ReplyDeleteWow, that pothole really did a number on your tire--and your day! Great way to use the theme though!
ReplyDeleteOh no, you do have quite the gash! I can't believe they said it was normal to have rust already, I would go all the way to the top! I bought my car in October and I don't have rust (and if it is normal I would think I would have it in Nebraska w/ all the salt they put on the roads..
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love potholes? I can remember having pothole alerts on the radio when I was a kid in Maine.. Go get that car manufacturer too!
ReplyDeleteRust already? I don't believe that for a second.
ReplyDeleteAnd that must have been one nasty pothole. Winter can be a curse!
A good Oops photo of a not-so-good Oops. At least some good came of it. Nice abstract too.
ReplyDeleteOh, man! What a gash! Good luck with your reimbursement process. If you win, you can post the refund check under the theme of "Victory"!
ReplyDeleteThat's not only an 'oops' but also an 'ouch!' I agree your new vehicle should not be rusting!
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be successful in getting some satisfaction. That's a huge gash.
ReplyDeleteIts happened to me also a few times. I really get mad when I am out $100 or so. Great shot, I think this is acceptable in a court of law when you sue them for the price of a new tire.
