These black & white egg shaped rocks caught my eye. They are very different looking and are from Dave's Rock Shop in Evanston, IL. Dave's shop has been in business since 1970. It is a family run business and has a huge collection of rocks and much more. It is an experience you won't want to miss if you are in the area.

Hey Mary. Fantastic black and white shot. Love all the different patterns over the rocks, especially in black and white. What sort of rocks are they ?
ReplyDeleteWell done.
Beautiful, wonder what caused that effect. New to me.
ReplyDeleteNice B&W. i wouldn't have realized they were rocks. Cool designs.
ReplyDeleteIf these were smaller than an egg, one would make a good "worry rock". I always loved it when the rocks came out of the tumbler after being polished like these are. So comfortable fitting into the hand.
ReplyDeleteWere these rocks actually black and white, or was that your treatment? If treatment, I'd like to see them in color too.
Nice capture.
What a find - these are gorgeous - and the black and white really sets off the designs in them!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangement and some really interesting rocks. I would love to be able to handle these...
ReplyDeleteGreat image for the theme. The rocks are cool.
ReplyDeleteSmooth and yet textural at the same time! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot of fascinating rocks, I love the patterns in them and the b/w shows them well.
ReplyDeleteGlenn, I'm not sure what kind of rocks these were. I am really bad at writing down descriptions of my photos. I have to work on that!!
ReplyDeleteThey were actually the size of eggs.
Iona, the rocks were black and white. All I did was boost it a little.
Very cool rocks! They look artificial!
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful and unique! You've captured them perfectly, I'm curious about them too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot. Great contrast and composition.
