293 Solitary

While at the Chicago Botanic Garden Orchid Show last month I saw this beautiful orchid. It is so unique and I took an immediate liking to it.

It is a paphiopedilum (paph) malipoense and is an endangered species native to China. It's solitary flower is on an extremely tall stem and has a sweet raspberry fragrance.
