I really like the colors and the shot. I'll try my hand at some constructive criticism here. For my taste, I think I would have liked to see more negative space in the straw surrounding the egg if possible. I think it would have looked a bit more empty and left behind if there was more breathing room. That's what I find my eyes searching for.
We will be taking a photo a day in 2009. The themes for the photographs and the guidlines are listed below. There is also a list of the photographers participating. You may visit their sites as well. Hope you will stop back often and share in my photographic journey. Enjoy!! Your comments are greatly appreciated.

I wonder who hatched? A chick? An ugly duckling? A velociraptor? Nice choice for the theme - it leaves it to our imaginations.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot and so perfect for this theme.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo! Really fits the theme!
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for that little head to pop out! Super find and shot!
ReplyDeleteWell I hope it was a baby velociraptor! Great shot - I like that it is laying in what looks to be a nest but the size is our guess.
ReplyDeleteHey the parents put a little bit away for a long time to provide that, safe and secure temporary home for that chick. Great Take.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful catch!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome picture for the theme, now my imagination woke up... :D So I put my vote on a velociraptor egg. ;)
ReplyDeleteI vote for sending the baby velociraptor to Ron. I heard he has an empty nest. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a great shot - finding a egg shell is always such a treat.
