Actually, my grandparents used to tell me that - never tried one though. Great picture - that really looks yummy. There is nothing better than fresh veggies.
I would sooner eat the leaves than the beets below...but--if I didn't already know I HATE beets--you've made them look beautiful and appetizing in this shot.
A delicous shot. What really works for me is the compostion and balance of colors - warm in the lower third, cool green in the top two thirds - a nice example of the rule of thirds.
I LOVE this! The compositon and colors are just wonderful and your edge treatment just enhances the photo. I will tell you that I absolutely HATE beets, but these are lovely to look at! : D

Lovely image, and I like your edge treatment!
ReplyDeleteI know the greens are edible (and good for you), but I rarely cook them.
Have you eaten them? I bet they are full of nutrients.
ReplyDeleteI love the composition of your shot and the vivid (and healthy-looking) colors.
Great colors and composition Mary Lou!

ReplyDeleteI feel healthier already just looking at this vibrant shot. (beet greens are very similar to swiss chard)
