166 Larger than Life

The corn that is...not us!!

That's me on the right and my firend Terry on the left. I was laughing so hard because this was the first time I had used the timer on my camera. I situated the camera perfectly on my tripod, , focused it, pressed the shutter and ran. The problem was that the shutter clicked before I got into the picture. After three attempts with not such great results I realized that I had to move the tripod closer!!

  1. Isnt it great to explore the cameras functions :-) so much more understanding of the size of things when putting something in front or beside. I sometimes use money beside smaller things to show the size of them. Gives a new dimension to photos. Thanks for sharing this majestic cornfield!

  3. Wow, that is huge corn stalks, I can't say our corn fields are that large, I have done the same thing w/ my timer - at least it is good for the laugh!

  4. Great story Mary Lou - are you really one of us blondes??? :) Your corn looks as tall as what we have here!

  5. With my bad hip, I would never make it into the shot :-) but I should try it sometime. There was a blog or a photo a day thing of someone taking a picture a day of herself in the shot using the timer. Mighty large corn! Must be one of those genetic blends!
