Maybe not that model...but I do remember all the yellow cabs in NYC when I lived there as a child.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool shot! A big bit before my time- is that a Checker or can I read De Soto? The last cab I was in was the boxy Scion- not quite the same deluxe feel...
ReplyDeleteGreat classic car, a bit before my time, but my dad probably owned one (not as a taxi) - I think he had at least one of every car built until I was in elementary school!

Not this model, but growing up in Chicago, very familiar with yellow cabs! Love the strong color in this image.
