As you can see,I had difficulty taking this photograph. This is a mural on a wall in a hall that wasn't very wide. I bounced the light of my flash off of everything I could find and still didn't get a good image. However, my photograph is not what this is about. It is about a fabulous photography exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Gardens titled "Remnants of Savannas and Old-Growth Forests". It is "A celebration of what remains of our ancient old growth forests and savannas of the eastern US". The photographer Miles Lowery has created an incredible exhibit. The following is an explanation of how he creates his carbon pigment prints.

Thanks for the link. I bet you enjoyed that exhibit. Narrow halls are a real pain to photograph in. Pretty good job working with the area.
ReplyDeleteThere are times we have to be satisfied with what comes out of the camera. Then if we are lucky, PS can redeem them. Good fit for the theme.
ReplyDeleteI know first hand how difficult it is to try to capture a image off of various types of walls. Great shot and thanks for the explanation and link.
