We are still at the Chicago Botanic Gardens and probably will be there all week!! This is a small part of a very nice brick fence that extends for about half a block or so in the Gardens. This repeating pattern repeats throughout the length of the fence. What amazes me about this photograph is the amount of camera distortion. I used my 18-135 mm wide angle lens and was standing less than 10 feet away.
Cropping is the only postprocessing done on this photograph.

Oooooh, I like! Nice frame for the willow in the background. Good subject too. Great textures and a feeling that I want to see more through this screen of terracotta.
ReplyDeletewhat an interesting pattern - great shot
ReplyDeleteNicely done.
ReplyDeleteVery cool image! This would make a cool frame if you erased out the middle of the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the distortion...it shows more in the larger size photo. Very interesting colors and design!
ReplyDeleteI really like this! I've never seen bricks like those, and the view through them is wonderful. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot, the pattern is great and the distortion makes it look 3-D in a way. Always up for garden tours too.
ReplyDeleteNice eye. Very unique photo.
ReplyDeleteThis certainly gives those grasses a unique perspective. I like it!
ReplyDeleteWow, that certainly is a repeating pattern! It's lovely! I love all the graceful curves.
ReplyDeleteI like everything about this shot. Thw wider end of your zoom will do that. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteA delightful way to frame a garden - almost makes it a secret garden. Nice repeating pattern, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! I feel like I'm sneaking a peek into someone's private garden...
