33 Break the Rule of Thirds

I have been trying to get a photograph of a deer for years. Today as I was driving on a 2 lane road, there they were and being part of this challenge my camera was right next to me!! I stopped the car (yes, in the middle of the road!!), took off the lens cap and dropped it on the floor. I was so excited as I shot this that I never took time to compose the shot for fear my subjects would run away!!

  1. Great shot. I have at least 6-8 deer living in the woods behind my house. Must get a deer shot. Nicely done.

  3. I don't think this would have turned out anywhere near as great if you had taken the time to compose the shot. I love it! The colors are spectacular!

  4. Nice shot. And you really can't take time to fuss over how to shoot the deer because they're likely to bolt.

  5. Very good, I bet one of the deer had a camera taking pictures of you and your car in the middle of the road, then posted it on their own blog! Can you imagine all those deer standing and gawking at the things we humans do?

  7. They do look as if they are posing, or maybe ready to bolot. Great shot, nice how they match the color of the shrubs.

  8. You work fast!!! I would not have been that lucky! I would have ended up with a tiny section of hind leg as he bounded out of there! Great shot!!!
