101 Flags and Banners

Continuing on through Ten Thousand Villages I found this beautiful flag/banner hanging from the ceiling. This was made by and artist in Indonesia.

I had a very hard time with this photograph as it was distorted and the background was very distracting. After working on it for a long time I realized that it wasn't the photograph that was important. The message of World Peace is the only thing that matters in this photograph.

  2. The photo does not give any feeling of size. It could be quite small, but since you said it was hanging from the ceiling, maybe it is quite large??

Nice photo and great for the theme.

  4. I agree - the message is important. But you did a great job of capturing the message. The words are sharp, the design is there. And it brightens my day!

  13. Love the blue colors and shooting in stores isn't easy with the lighting etc. We have one of these stores in Raleigh. It is a good place to get Putamayo CDs and fair trade coffee. They often have programs and demos on weekends.

  14. You did a lovely job with this one. And you're right - sometimes it's the message not the technical details that are most important...
