Winter in Chicago means bad weather and a lot of potholes some of which are not so bad and some of which are dangerous. Not only did today's pothole leave me with a flat tire but it slashed the tire requiring the purchase of a new tire. This would have been the perfect "Oops" picture except for the fact that I was so upset I forgot to take the picture!!
As if that wasn't bad enough when the wheel was taken off I saw all of this rust. This made me even more upset since my car isn't even 3 months old. Now I will be going to the dealership to hear their story about the rust. All in all...not a good day!!

Yipes! It's really a nice shot but 3 months????

ReplyDeleteGive em hell, Girl go for the throat!
ReplyDeleteI once sold a utility truck that I had bought second hand in an interior town, 100 miles from the coast, and when I went to sell it the buyer asked about rust, I said none, he replied all eight year old cars have rust, so I said asking price is $2,500 you find rust pay only $2,000, no rust $3,000. He said done and three hours later gave me a good cheque for 3 grand. No rust is important.
I would be really upset too! Go in there until you get what you want! That is ridiculous! By the way, great image! :)
ReplyDeleteYou will likely get the story of: What do you expect after a winter in Chicago with salted streets? Yet, I would go loaded for bear! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme and photo!
So sorry about your flat! I can't believe after all that you had the wherewithall to think "oh! Great rust shot!" and whip out your cam to take this nice photo.
ReplyDeleteA true 365-er!
Talk about being ready on the spot for a shot! Sorry about your tire mishap but you did get a good shot for the theme.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the tire & rust issues (and a nearly new car, too!). But you got a nice shot, and a perfect theme from it. Some consolation there, I hope!
ReplyDeleteWow, that really is unfortunate!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got everything taken care of and am really curious about what the dealer is going to say. Great shot though!
What a lousy day! Hope it all turns out okay..............
ReplyDeleteOuch...what a lousy day. At least being able to snag a photo provided some distraction.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like one heck of a day!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Mary Nell. I'm glad that I don't live in Chicago. Come to Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteoh no, what a horrid day...hope you get things sorted.
ReplyDeleteNice rusted shot - but you must feel so bad about your car and the tire! I'm originally from Montreal, and everyone knows we (Quebec) has the worst roads in Canada!
