I almost stepped on this Tiger Beetle as we were walking. If you look closely you will see that there are eight spots on his back including the one that is above the right back leg. There are also six legs and two antennae which equals eight!!

ReplyDeleteWe were just just at the Insectarium in Montreal a couple weeks ago and my son was particularly interested in all the varieties of beetles. I think I saw this guy's cousins there. Well done capturing him!
