56 Clouds

One of the things that is so frustrating is finding something I want to photograph while I am driving and there is now where to stop or pull over. Tonight while I was driving home I saw these gorgeous clouds in the sky and there was no where to stop. When I finally found a place to park I snapped a couple of photos and within 2 seconds the sun was under the clouds and the shot was no longer in view. I got lucky this time. (23 of 365)

  1. I can identify with that. Great shot and nice exposure.

  2. What appeared to be just another shot in thumbnail has tons of zap enlarged, a real E.T. Phone home feel to it. I especially like the muted fore ground it makes the shot for me.

  3. That's a beautiful shot! And I so relate to the experience of getting a shot and realizing moments later that it was just in the nick of time!

  7. You did a suburb job in the nick of time. I had to really study the photo to separate it out. Well done.

Yesterday, we were out and about before sunrise for a medical purpose. Just as we pulled off the freeway to the first intersection, the sun started rising. I got three shots on the move. The last of which was the only one worth rescuing.

On the way home, we watched the sun set. But before we could get situated to get a shot, it was already gone!

I think we have all been in that situation one time or another.

  8. It looks like we all have this problem with being able to pull off the road to take the shot. The winter just makes it so difficult and traffic doesn't help either. But we all seem to come thru and it is a truly wonderful image!

  10. Beautiful!

I can't tell you how many times I've had that same dilemma! It's a nice feeling when you come out on the winning end of that one, isn't it!

(Funny, the verification word is "bleera". Not a word, really, but I can identify with that feeling!)
