There are a lot of benches like this at the Botanic Gardens. This one is my favorite because as it has aged it has maintained its beauty. Connecting the arm rest to the front leg of the bench is a circular-shaped piece of wood with several circles within.

Great perspective, Mary Lou. I also like the shadows on the bench.
ReplyDeleteI agree, love the lines and the shadows. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteThis is a time when I would really like to have the photo available on the same page as comments box. On really good photos, I like to refer back to the photo to study it as I write. But can't do that and write when I must flip back and forth in this format.
ReplyDeleteYou selected well, Mary Lou. I like the presentation: the shapes, the color, the shadows and the wood surface. Further, not presenting the entire bench was really a plus.
I love your perspective on the bench! Wonderful, intriguing shot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo and combination of geometrics - circles, lines, etc. I love how this challenge makes you focus in on little details that would otherwise go unnoticed.
ReplyDeleteGreat eye and super composition! You caught so much in this one picture, circles, lines, shadows, color and texture! Really nice job!
ReplyDeleteDitto what everyone else said! FAB!
ReplyDeleteThose must have sold for bulk to Botanic gardens I saw something similar in the Sydney Botanic gardens but it was adorned with a resident wino that looked too belligerent to harass with a camera, nice shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot and perfect for the theme!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Love the circle, love the shadows, love the lines, love the bench. :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT idea for a circle. Very imaginative!
ReplyDeleteAs the saying goes a bench is a bench is a bench.... but no more, You did a nice job of taking a simple bench and making it into a special image focusing on the detail that is now the main subject.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely composed - the lines and the shadows provide good contrast to the circles and make an ordinary bench extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Mary Lou. Great eye to have caught the circle and gotten such a great perspective on it.
